The health data conversation is in a constant state of change – day to day, hour to hour, with so much of it happening across digital channels. Staying apprised of key topics and trends in the conversation is essential to uncovering what the community deems most important and where stakeholder efforts should be focused.
For this reason, we’ve teamed up with the Health Data Consortium to track and glean insights from the continuous stream of health data conversations happening across digital media. Through this collaboration, we can provide notable observations culled from real-time data to HDC members, researchers, policymakers, healthcare and technology executives as well as other enthusiasts.
Launching in tandem with the partnership is the Health Data Conversation Radar, a customized online tracker providing views of health data related Twitter conversations happening within various communities, including U.S.-based doctors, members of Congress, and health data influencers. The tracker updates and displays trending keywords, top influencers, conversation volume and a live Tweetstream to give viewers a better understanding of who’s talking, what’s being said and what is driving engagement. More features and functions will be added to #HDCRadar over time.
Launching at Health Datapalooza this week, access to the Health Data Conversation Radar is available to the public at www.hdcradar.com. Insights will regularly be shared on Twitter using #HDCRadar, and attendees at the conference can also stop by booth 503 for demonstrations on the exhibit floor.
The Health Data Conversation Radar is just the beginning for the HDC-WCG partnership. By deriving insights from community conversations and delivering regular reporting, HDC and its members can keep a pulse on trends for a deeper understanding and alignment to the movement of the industry. This in turn will help promote effective communication and sharing of open data across the healthcare spectrum.
See you on the show floor!
